			John M. BeVard, 78, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 
			2014, at McKinley Court in Decatur. (Below is a copy of 
							the obituary from the funeral home.) ___ 
							Lincoln -- John M. BeVard, 78, of Lincoln passed 
							away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at McKinley 
							Court in Decatur. 
							A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 
							8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home 
							in Atlanta with Mr. Maurice Stribling officiating. 
							No Visitation is scheduled. Cremation Rites have 
							been accorded. 
							Burial will be at the Atlanta Cemetery with Military 
							Rites accorded by the Atlanta American Legion Post 
							341. 
							John Maurer BeVard was born on July 8, 1935 in 
							Atlanta, the son of George Edward and Martha 
							Elizabeth Young BeVard. He married Connie Suedmiere. 
							He later married Myrna Williams. 
							John is survived by his best friends: Larry (Linda) 
							Collier, Roger Terrell and Victor Wasik; nieces and 
							nephews: Beth (Tom) Kavelman, Lori (Paul) Bottrell, 
							Cherie (Denny) Holton, Tom (Connie) BeVard, Todd 
							BeVard, Jan (Jerry) Pickett, Jill (Bobby) Awe and 
							Joy (Mark) Coyne; and many great-nieces and 
							great-nephews.  | 
                
                 
		 
							He was preceded in death by one infant daughter and 
							three brothers: Grant William Young Johnson, George 
							Edward BeVard, Jr. and Thomas Earl BeVard. 
							John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed making 
							fishing lures, crappy fishing and racing short-track 
							race cars. 
							John was a carpenter and was a member of the 
							Carpenters Unions Local 568 and Millwrights Local 
							1051. 
							Memorials may be made to the American Cancer 
							Society. 
							Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley 
							Funeral Home in Atlanta. |
