Zonta scholarships are awarded on the basis of one academic year —
three quarters or two semesters —
contingent upon the student's sustained academic achievement. The
award can be applied toward tuition, fees, room and board, books,
and other related expenses. The funds will be sent directly to
school authorities, as designated by the scholarship award
recipient, in equal payments. Top candidates will be selected
based on merit, activities, leadership, honors, awards and need.
Finalists will be contacted for a personal interview by the club's
scholarship committee. Selection of the recipient(s) will be made
shortly after the personal interview on April 26.
Applications are available at the area high schools and colleges
or by emailing Ruth Sloot, scholarship chairman, at
slootruth@comcast.net.
