Friday morning began a new chapter in the history of the world's largest covered wagon in Lincoln and LDN was there. Below are a total of 12 albums that will bring you the full details of how the work to repair the storm-damaged wagon got underway. The wagon is now sitting on the ground and facing a new direction. The intent is to repair wheels that were broken in a windstorm and return the wagon to its original stature. While work is being done on the wagon, the Abe Lincoln likeness will also have work done on it. Photo by Nila Smith (Click on image for larger version.) |
