In game one the Lynx fell behind 3-0 but battled back for the
5-4 victory. Chance Simpson was the winning pitcher, with AJ
Smith picking up the save. T.J. Carter had the game's winning
two-out hit that drove in two runs. In game two the Lynx took
a 3-0 lead, but Macomb came back to tie it at 3-3. In the top of
the sixth, Lincoln scored its fourth run on a single by Tyler
Gudat. Aric Hopp picked up his first college win, with Kyle
Peden getting a save.
Coach Thomas said: "We played pretty good for our first time
outside this spring. They showed great emotion and fought hard
every pitch."
Next on the schedule for the Lynx was a doubleheader Tuesday
versus Mott, Mich.
