 During the meeting the following was announced:Megan Jackson will
be sponsored by the local unit at Illini Girls State in Charleston
in June.
On March 17 the auxiliary will serve their Monday night
sandwiches and baskets in addition to corned beef, cabbage and
potatoes. Food will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Starting at 7
p.m. there will be an evening of karaoke, featuring a picture booth
and other surprises. The event is open to the public.
The local American Legion will celebrate its 95th birthday on
March 23 at 5:30 p.m. A catered meal is being planned. Members of
the local Legion post, auxiliary unit and the Sons of the Legion are
invited.
