Donald D. Aper, 84, of Lincoln, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at
12:40 a.m. at The Christian Village.

LINCOLN-Donald D. Aper, 84, of Lincoln died at 12:40
a.m. March 20, 2014 at Christian Village, Lincoln,
IL.
Don was born February 4, 1930 in Orville Township,
Rural Hartsburg, IL the son of Friedrich W. and
Clara Hartwig Aper. He married Mary Mobley, then
Mary Malloy and then later married Claire Baker.

Don is survived by one sister: Darlene Wiggers Aper
(Bob Singley); one niece: Kim Wiggers (Paul) de Otte
of Beason; and three nephews: K. Alan (Sheryl)
Wiggers of Mt. Vernon, IL; Kurt A. (Ronda) Wiggers
of Great Falls, MT; and Richard D. Aper of Pekin,
IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and
brother: Walter F. Aper.
Don is a retired mail carrier from the US Postal
Service. He is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church
of Lincoln; American Legion Post #263; Eagles Lodge
#2708; National Letter Carriers Association.
Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at
11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln with
Rev. Candida Turner officiating. There is no
visitation. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church
of the American Legion Post #263. Arrangements were
entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln.
