Lincoln- Jason L. Hurley, 29, was rescued by our Lord at 3:49 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Jason was born April 13, 1984 in Springfield the son of Joyce Beavers.
Jason is survived by his mother and step father: Joyce and John Britt of Lincoln; maternal grandparents: Marilyn and Dean Leesman of Hartsburg; aunt: Cynthia Beavers of Lincoln; cousins: Cassie McCurry and Beth and Chrissy Edwards of Lincoln; paternal Grandma: Shirley Britt of Lincoln and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: John Britt; maternal grandfather: Lee Beavers and great grandparents: Paul and Dorothy Boughan.

Jason was a graduate of Normal Community High School Class of 2002.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln. Jason loved music, movies, and video games especially when family and his "brood" were there to be with him. His heart was easily able to love all he met.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln with Rev. Candida Turner officiating. Memorials may be given in his name to Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Puppet Ministries of the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
