Middletown United Methodist Church
If you are in the area on any Sunday we invite you to stop in at
Middletown United Methodist Church. Service is at 9 AM and
Sunday School is at 10:30. We welcome you to worship with us.
Easter services are as follows
Maundy Thursday Service is 7 PM,
Sunrise Service is 6:30 AM with breakfast at 7:00AM.
What is so significant about this time of year? In the church
year it is the beginning of Lent. Jesus spent forty days in the
wilderness which was the beginning of events to come. Then it
was to be many events that led up to the resurrection of Jesus
from the grave. A victory that all mankind can be thankful for.
A few years ago I was privileged to visit the Holy Land. There
with the scripture one can be as if you were in 3D. Reading the
scripture and being right there when Easter took place. Realism
sets in like never before. There is some different thought as to
where the grave was but for sure the two chosen sites were both
empty.
We can be thankful for God’s grace and Christ’s sacrifice. We
are ALL recipients. This time of year we study the scriptures
that lead to Easter and those words that make us aware of His
goodness and mercy.
