The Logan County Master
Gardeners hosted their third annual Russel Allen Garden
Day at Lincoln College on Saturday.
The event began at 9 a.m. and
wrapped up around 1 p.m. On the agenda were three breakout
sessions at 9, three more at 10:15 and the keynote speaker
presentation at 11:30. The day ended with a brief gardening Q&A session with Logan County Extension garden specialist Jennifer Fishburn.
The student union area of
the Meyer-Evans Student Center was also filled with displays from
area growing organizations and societies such as those representing
water gardening, orchids, roses, wildlife and insect preservation,
herbs, and honey production.
