[March 25, 2014]  The seasons are about to change, and if you have kids, are you ready for the change in clothing? It's sometimes amazing how fast they grow, and few kids are able to wear the same clothes they wore a year ago.

One event has become a premier opportunity to find great clothing, toys and other items all in one location at a reasonable price, and that helps to meet those changing needs in families. The Butterflies Kids' Sale is a consignment of wonderful clothing and other items at a price less than retail. A portion of each sale returns funds to families that are consigning. And, Butterflies Kids' Sale gives buyers an opportunity to save money on quality, gently worn items.

This season, the sale has moved to the spacious O'Donohue building at 113 N. Kickapoo St., near Prairie Years and Abe's. The sale is well organized by volunteers, making shopping easy.

The regular spring sale takes place Wednesday through Saturday this week only.

A special presale event with a $10 entry has been planned for Tuesday evening and kicks off this season's event. The presale gives buyers first choice, and the $10 entry fee as well as all other profits from the four-day event go to the Woven Together adoption ministry.

The sale moves into full swing, open to the public with no entry fee, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Saturday, as is traditional, the sale wraps up with a 50 percent off sale, and hours from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The sale was set up to support Logan County families that are in the adoption process. Profits from this spring's sale will support three families that are now in the process of adopting five children.
