 Approximately 70 organizations will be attending, and educational
displays will be available. There will also be health screenings,
including blood pressure, cholesterol, pulse oximetry, blood
glucose, body fat calculations, pH testing, blood typing, oral
cancer, balance screenings and hemoglobin. Most screenings are free
of charge, except for hemoglobin, cholesterol and blood glucose,
which have a small fee.The environmental health division of the
Logan County Department of Public Health will offer free nitrate
screenings for well water. Only private well water will be screened.
Residents are invited to bring their own samples. Radon test kits
will also be available for a fee.
Recyclable items will be collected, including unused, unwanted
medications as well as glass, cellphones and printer cartridges.
Destruction of hard drives and shredding of confidential papers will
be sponsored by State Bank of Lincoln.
This year's activities include a free, 65-foot inflatable
obstacle course, cooking demonstrations at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and
noon, free chair massages, a children's craft table, and Lapsit
story sessions with Lincoln Public Library staff at 9:30 a.m., 10
a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Child fingerprinting and car seat
checks will also be offered.

Central Illinois Community Blood Center will have a blood drive
from 9 a.m. to noon in the bloodmobile at the sports complex.
First-time donors are welcome.
Peggy's Place will provide healthy food choices for purchase
during the health fair.
The Community Health Fair is sponsored by the Lincoln Park
District and the Logan County Department of Public Health.
