After many were finished eating, the program began. During the course of the morning, Hake pointed out a guest in the room who has attended all 15 ag breakfasts. Betsy Pech is the ag teacher and FFA adviser at Hartsburg-Emden High School. Each year she comes with a delegation of FFA members from Hartem.

Pech will be retiring from her teaching position this year, but in a one-on-one conversation with LDN, she said that didn't mean she planned to stop coming to the ag breakfast.

Chamber Executive Director Andi Hake begins the program.

Logan County State's Attorney Jonathan Wright delivers the invocation.

John Klemm, ag scholarship committee chairman, addresses the group.

Klemm asks all past 4-H and FFA members to stand.

He also asked for present 4-H and FFA members to stand. All of this year's recipients fell within one or the other of the two categories, past or present.
