ELKHART — Harold Edward Kutz, 87, of
Elkhart, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at 7:55 p.m. at The Christian
Village in Lincoln.

Elkhart- Harold Edward Kutz, 87, of Elkhart, passed
away at 7:55 P.M. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at The
Christian Village.
Harold was born in Logan County on May 29, 1926, son
of Emil Kutz and Goldie Eeten Aper. He was united in
marriage to Evelyn Alberta Drake on January 7, 1951
at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden. She preceded
him in death on September 17, 2005.
He is survived by his children: Doug (Suzie) Kutz of Indianapolis, IN;
Greg Kutz of Lincoln, IL; Donna (Lance) Vaughan of Mt.
Pulaski, IL; Debra (John) Swaringen of Hobe Sound, FL; Jeff
(Carol) Kutz of Elkhart, IL; Bruce (Joanne) Kutz of Hanover,
IL; Dawn (David) Crawford of Lincoln, IL; sisters: Annie
(Eldon) Westen of Emden, IL; Eileen (Ron) Hubbard of
Lincoln, IL; Goldie (Jerry) Burlingame of Ipava, IL;
brother: John A. Aper of Lincoln; brother’s in law: Ralph
Drake of Girard, IL; Jon Wibben of Hartsburg, IL; 20
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by his parents, brother: Darrell Lee Aper; and
sisters: Mary Lou Wibben and Johanna Butler; and sister in
law: Patricia Aper. |
Harold worked for Fuller Seed Company, he was a
farming professional, and he delivered the State
Journal Register for 40 years. Harold served his
country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a
member of the Emden American Legion Post #506 and
was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
Harold was a huge supporter of his family's sporting
events, attending many different sporting events for
his children, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren.
Services for Harold will be held at 10:00 A.M. on
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church
in Lincoln with Rev. Candida Turner conducting
services. A visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M.
on Tuesday, April 1, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial will follow the
service at Hartsburg Union Cemetery in Hartsburg
with full military rites accorded by the Emden
American Legion Post #506. Memorials may be made to
Land of Lincoln Honor Flight or Safe Haven Hospice.
