Logan County Coroner, Robert Thomas, has announced that a male
pedestrian was pronounced dead at 6:52pm on March 28, 2014, after
being struck by an Amtrak train in the 600 block of Sangamon Street
in Lincoln Illinois.
The name of the
deceased is Thomas Pegram, age 58, a Lincoln resident.
The death is under
investigation by the Lincoln Police Department and the Logan County
Coroner's office.
An autopsy was
performed in McLean County on Saturday, March 29. in Bloomington.
The preliminary report states there were multiple blunt force trauma
to Mr. Pegram.
