DELAVAN — Robert "Bob" William Pollock,
90, of Delavan, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at 11:03 a.m. at
Washington Christian Village, Washington.

DELAVAN-Robert "Bob" William Pollock, 90, of
Delavan, IL passed away at 11:03 a.m. Monday, April
28, 2014 at Washington Christian Village,
Washington, IL.
Bob was born September 14, 1923 in Lincoln, the son
of Clarence and Ida Mae Knaak Pollock. He married
Mary Dengler May 24, 1947 in Lincoln. She survives
in Delavan, IL.
Bob is also survived by two sons: Richard (Cindy)
Pollock of Deer Creek; Mark (Adele) Pollock of
Tremont; Grandchildren: Penny, Chris, Alyssa,
Melaney, and Brett; Great grandchildren: Mara, Max,
Liam, Teddy, Jaxon, and Kylie; and one sister: Ida
Mae Sielaff of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by
his parents and two brothers: Clarence Pollock and
Walter Pollock.

Bob worked at Ameren Cilco for 41 years as a
serviceman. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.
II. Bob was a licensed pilot and flight instructor;
a volunteer fire fighter and trustee. He also drove
the school bus for Delavan District #703; member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln and the American
Legion Post of Delavan.
Services for Bob will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May
3, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home,
Lincoln with Rev. Tom Eckhardt officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home, Friday, May
2 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Zion
Cemetery, Lincoln with full military rites accorded
by Delavan American Legion Post. Memorials may be
given in his honor to Immanuel Lutheran Church or
the Alzheimer’s Association.
