Monday evening, at the first voting session of the new fiscal year for the city of Lincoln, Mayor Keith Snyder announced the choice of department heads for the coming fiscal year. He commented there would be no surprises in the appointments as he would ask that all existing department heads continue on in their duties for the next year. Snyder's appointments were approved by a unanimous vote of the city council. Afterward city attorney, Blinn Bates, sworn each one into active service. Those present were Fire Chief Mark Miller, Walt Landers as street and alley superintendent and John Lebegue as building and safety officer. Police Chief Ken Greenslate was absent for the evening.
