LINCOLN — Viola J. "VJ" Garvey, 82, of
Lincoln, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 5:07 p.m. as a result of
an auto accident in Lincoln.

LINCOLN-Viola J. "VJ" Garvey, 82, of Lincoln died
Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at
5:07 pm as a result of an auto accident in Lincoln.
V.J. was born March 7, 1932 in Springfield, IL the
daughter of Earl F. and Dorothy M. McDonald Corbett.
She was united in marriage to George C. Garvey on
October 27, 1951 in Springfield. He preceded her in
death November 9, 2005.

V.J. is survived by her daughter: Karen A. (Sam)
Davis of Lincoln and one grandchild, three great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, one brother, two sisters.
V.J. was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family
Church.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May
5, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield with
Greg Wooten officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn
Memorial Park. Memorials may be given in V.J.'s
memory to St. Jude's Children's Research or Ronald
McDonald House. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln was entrusted with services.
