Service: Graveside Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln on Monday, May 12.

Forrest W. "Timber " Downing, 90, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Graveside Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with Mr. Tom Ewald officiating.

Forrest W. Downing was born on June 1, 1923 in Lincoln the son of Forrest E. and Hester Rohrer Downing.
He married Amelia Downing. She preceded him in death.

Surviving Forrest are his children: Terry (Nancy) Downing of Red Bud, Jean Lynette (Don) Buss of Kenney, Delores Rohlfs of Lincoln, Three sisters: Birdie Lou Bowns, Virginia Broughton both of Lincoln. Dorothy Hoerbert of Greenview. Nine grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by one daughter: Vicki Leigh May, three sisters, and two brothers.

Forrest retired from Meyers Industries as a Hardware Specialist.

Memorials may be made to Oasis Senior Center or Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Peasley Funeral Home.
