Thelma J.
McKnight, 83, of Mount Pulaski, formerly of Lincoln, passed away at
11:10 p.m. on May 14, 2014 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount
Pulaski. |
Visitation:
Monday at 1 p.m.; 1 hour prior to the service
at the funeral home.

Monday at 2 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral

Obituary
Lincoln- Thelma J. McKnight, 83, of Mount Pulaski,
formerly of Lincoln, passed away at 11:10 p.m. on
May 14, 2014 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount
Pulaski.
Thelma was born on July 24, 1930 in Springfield;
daughter of Lloyd C and Margaret Bryson Day. She
married Melvin R. McKnight on June 14, 1953 in
Springfield. He preceded her in death on September
25, 1996.
Thelma is survived by two brothers: Edward Day of
Denver, CO and Keith Day of Dallas, NC; one Niece:
Jean (Jeff) Martin of Mount Pulaski; one nephew:
Lloyd Day of Lincoln; as well as several other
nieces and nephews: great nephews: Doug (Erin)
Martin and Derek (Renee) Martin both of Mount
Pulaski; special friends: Mark, Diane, Bryce, Brent,
and Katie Hunsley of Lincoln. She was preceded in
death by her parents, one sister Mildred Wiebking,
and one brother Robert Day. |
Thelma loved to go camping, boating, and traveling.
She also volunteered at the Logan County
Genealogical Society.
Services for Thelma will be 2:00 p.m. Monday May 19,
2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, with Mark Weber officiating. Visitation
will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial
at New Union Cemetery will follow the service.
Memorials may be given to the Logan County
Genealogical Society or Vonderlieth Living Center
Foundation.
