Braves 9, Brewers 3
Pinch hitter Ryan Doumit and left fielder Justin Upton hit
eighth-inning home runs to highlight the Braves' biggest offensive
output since April 14, and Atlanta earned a 9-3 win over the
Milwaukee Brewers.
Atlanta tallied 15 hits, its first time in double digits since April
25, and won its second consecutive game. It was the most runs scored
by the Braves since a 9-6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies more
than a month ago.
The run support helped Mike Minor (2-2) win his second consecutive
start as the left-hander allowed two runs on five hits over 6 2/3
innings, striking out five and walking two.
The Braves took a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the eighth when they
found their power starting when Doumit lifted his 100th career home
run and first of the season into the left field seats.

Indians 5, Tigers 4 (10 innings)
Michael Brantley's home run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th
inning lifted the Cleveland Indians to a 5-4, walk-off victory over
the Detroit Tigers.
The win snapped Cleveland's four-game losing streak and Detroit's
six game winning streak. The Tigers also saw their 11-game road
winning streak end.
Right-hander Al Alburquerque (1-1) retired the first two batters of
the 10th inning, but Brantley, Cleveland's left fielder, lined a
pitch over the right field wall for his ninth home run.
Detroit tied the game with a dramatic home run to J.D. Martinez in
the ninth inning.

White Sox 7, Royals 6
Shortstop Alexei Ramirez hit a three-run homer and drove in four
runs as the Chicago White Sox rallied to beat the Kansas City Royals
7-6.
The White Sox rallied from a five-run deficit in the first inning,
their biggest come-from-behind victory this season.
While Ramirez's home run in the third started the comeback,
designated hitter Paul Konerko's two-run blast in the fifth put them
ahead. Left fielder Dayan Viciedo homered to lead off the White Sox
fourth.
After starter Scott Carroll yielded six runs on nine hits, three
walks and a hit batter in four innings, five White Sox relievers
shut down the Royals the final five innings.

and Frazier, the third baseman, launched his eighth homer of the
season against lefty reliever Ross Detwiler (0-2) to center as the
Reds won for just the third time in their last 10 games in
Washington.
It was the longest game of the season for the Nationals and the
longest game in the history of Nationals Park as it ended just after
midnight.
First baseman Greg Dobbs singled in a run to make it 4-3 in the 15th
before second baseman Danny Espinosa made the final out on a fly
ball to deep right.
