A lawyer for Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice explained, in
hypothetical terms, the February incident that got Rice arrested on
assault charges.
Rice was arrested following an altercation he had with his fiancee
Janay Palmer in Atlantic City, N.J., on Feb. 15 in which he struck
her. They married later in the month.
"Let's assume for the sake of argument ... that Ray wasn't the first
person that hit and Ray was getting repeatedly hit but just Ray hit
harder, fired one back and hit harder," Rice's lawyer, Michael
Diamondstein, told a New Jersey radio station.
