Mount Pulaski High School

[May 29, 2014]  Mount Pulaski High School commencement was held on May 24th, at 4 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The ceremony began with the posting of colors by Mount Pulaski American Legion Post #447. The processional, “Pomp and Circumstance” was played by the Mount Pulaski High School band, under the direction of Mr. David Helm. Mr. Brady Thomas led the Pledge of Allegiance. Opening remarks were given by Mr. Derek Baunach. Miss Cady Lowery, 2014 senior class president, addressed the group and Mr. Terry Morgan gave remarks.

Miss Madison Haley was named Valedictorian and Miss Jordan Taylor and Mr. Jordan Luczaj were co-Salutatorians, all three addressed the group. Students who had a 3.5 or above cumulative grade point average were awarded honor pins. A senior class slideshow, prepared by Miss Cady Lowery, was shown. Diplomas were awarded to twenty-nine graduates by school board members Mr. John Stewart and Mr. Joe Olson. Closing remarks were given by Miss Emma Stewart. The Mt. Pulaski American Legion retired the colors, and the recessional, played by the high school band, completed the ceremony.
