[October 29, 2014]  LINCOLN - The Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders announced today that Sally J. (Litterly) Turner was awarded County Clerk and Recorder of the year at their annual meeting in September.

Sally is the Logan County Clerk and Recorder and has been elected to that office for five terms. She is now running for her sixth term in the November 4 General Election.

Turner was selected amongst the 102 county clerks and recorders as their Clerk and Recorder of the Year. The prestigious award is given to a clerk and or recorder that demonstrates impeccable leadership in the areas of association education, legislative direction, and mentoring.

About the award Turner commented, "I am humbled to receive this award from my peers. The office of County Clerk and recorder has grown greatly with new laws and responsibilities in the past decade. The requirements on the office are overwhelming, and we meet those requirements with continuing education and a greater knowledge base that only fellow clerks and recorders can offer."
