							MOUNT PULASKI - Carol Combs, 68, of Mt. Pulaski, 
							passed away at 12:40 p.m. Thursday October 23, 2014 
							at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
 Carol was born on May 19, 1946 in Lincoln, the 
							daughter of Eugene and Marie Morris Wallace. She 
							married Eddie Combs on February 15, 1963 in 
							Broadwell. He survives her.
 
							Also surviving are four children; Sherri (Bob) Combs 
							Galvin of Lincoln, Karen Combs of McLean, Eddie 
							(Stacy) Combs of Lincoln, and David (Ashley) Combs 
							of Mount Pulaski; eleven grandchildren; and ten 
							great-grandchildren. 
							She was preceded in death by her parents and her 
							brother; John Wallace. 
							Carol had a passion for bowling; she enjoyed 
							spending time with her friends and playing Bingo. 
							Carol also liked to test her luck playing the 
							lottery, and she was no stranger when it came to 
							shopping. Above all else, Carol loved her family and 
							her dog Babe. She will be sorely missed by anyone 
							who was fortunate enough to have known her. | 
                    
					 
							A memorial service celebrating Carol’s life will be 
							held at 11 a.m. on Thursday October 30, 2014 at 
							First Christian Church in Mount Pulaski with Pastor 
							Mark Weber officiating. A visitation will take place 
							from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday October 30, 2014 
							prior to the service at the church. Memorial 
							donations may be made in Carol’s name to the Mount 
							Pulaski EMS. Burial will follow services at Zion 
							Cemetery in Lincoln. 
							Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader in Mount Pulaski.
