Obituary

MOUNT PULASKI - Mary Suebell Baker, 94, of Mount Pulaski, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Mary was born on January 15, 1920, in Christian County, KY, daughter of Wallace Warner and Lela Mae White Boyd. She was united in marriage to Chester Wiles and he preceded her in death in 1957. Mary later married Ezra Pettigrove and he preceded her in 1988. She then married Marion Baker and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Glen) Streich of Maroa; sister: Margie Rager of Lincoln; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, grandson Robert Streich, and 3 sisters.

 

Mary retired from Lincoln Developmental Center after many years of service. She was a member of the Latham Baptist Church and read the bible through every year. She also enjoyed spending her time in her garden and quilting.

Services for Mary will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski with Rev. Mark Morgan officiating. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery in Elkton, KY, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10. Memorials may be given to Latham Baptist Church.
