Wolverine 7th grade team takes Round Robin Championship

[November 09, 2014]  LINCOLN - West Lincoln-Broadwell finished the Carroll Catholic Round Robin Tournament Friday night and took home the 7th grade title. The Wolverines (4-0) rallied together, with Draden Pozgai out due to illness, to win 42-30 over the feisty Illini Central Cougars.

Kaden Froebe led all scorers with 16 points to go along with his eight assists. Kameron Whiteman poured in 13 points to go with his nine rebounds. Also scoring for WLB was; Payton Anderson with 7 and Justin Long with six.

In the 8th grade game, WLB (2-2) fell 51-40 to Illini Central. The Cougars were crowned the 8th grade tourney champions. Froebe scored 15 to lead the Wolverines and Blain Robbins added 9. The rest of the scoring was provided by; Shane Shumard (6), Virat Patel (6), Dawson Ferguson (2), and Kade Schmidt (2)

WLB will host Cornerstone Christian Academy on Tuesday, November 11th, with the 7th grade game tip scheduled for 6:00pm.
