Chester-East Lincoln splits home opener

[November 11, 2014]  LINCOLN - The Chester-East Lincoln Panthers hosted the Cougars of Illini Central for their home opener on Tuesday night.

The seventh-grade team won 42-27 to improve their record to 3-1 on the season.

Noah Funk lead the way with 18 points, Isaac Dewberry eight points, five points each for Trevor Bree and Thomas Morris and two points each for Jaden Pollice, Jace McIntosh and Dakota Matherly.

The eighth-grade team fell to 2-2 on the season with a 51-27 loss to Illini Central.

Matt West lead the Panthers in scoring with ten points, Nate Arnold and Noah Funk each had six, and Dean Harris had five points.

The Panthers host Mt. Pulaski on Thursday at 6 p.m.
