NOVEMBER 13 - TANKLESS WATER HEATERS      

Challenger Supply Holdings is recalling Tankless gas water heaters sold nationwide and in Canada from July 2008 to August 2014. The water heaters can overheat, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves all models of single- and dual-purpose Coaire and Quietside brand tankless gas water heaters. The words “S-Line Condensing” are on the top front and brand names “Coaire” or “Quietside” are on the bottom front of the recalled water heaters.

NOVEMBER 13 - AIR EXCHANGERS 

Venmar Ventilation is recalling Air exchangers sold nationwide and in Canada from January 2002 to May 2008. The motor in the air exchangers can overheat, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves air exchangers with and without heat recovery sold under different brands that are used to circulate air in and out of the home. Complete list can be found at www.recalls.org.

NOVEMBER 13 - MISTING FANS 

Ventamatic is recalling Cool Draft Misting Fans sold nationwide from November 2013 to August 2014. The fan’s wiring is not properly grounded, posing electric shock and fire hazards. 

This recall involves Cool Draft misting mid pressure and high pressure misting fans. Cool Draft by Ventamatic is printed on a sticker on the fan’s water tank and www.cooldraft.com is printed on a sticker in the center of all of fans. 

Consumers should contact Ventamatic at (800) 433-1626 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or online at www.bvc.com for a free repair, free shipping of the fan to Ventamatic and return back to consumers. More info at www.recalls.org.

NOVEMBER 12  - BUOYANCY COMPENSATORS 

Aqua Lung is expanding its recall of Aqua Lung buoyancy compensators with SureLock II weight pocket handles sold nationwide and in Canada from September 2008 to October 2014. The rubber handles can detach as divers are trying to remove the weight pockets to rise to the surface in an emergency. This poses a drowning hazard. 

This recall involves all Aqua Lung buoyancy compensator vests with SureLock II rubber handles attached to the weight pockets, including those with SureLock II handles that were replaced in the previous recall. Details can be found at www.recalls.org. 

Consumers should return the two weight pockets to an authorized Aqua Lung dealer to receive a free inspection and free newly-designed replacement weight pocket handles.

NOVEMBER 12 - HELLO KITTY WHISTLES 

McDonald’s is recalling “Hello Kitty® Birthday Lollipop” Whistles distributed exclusively at McDonald's restaurants nationwide from October 2014 to November 2014 Components inside of the whistle can detach, posing choking and aspiration hazards. 

The recalled whistles are red and were included in a plastic Hello Kitty figurine holding a pink heart-shaped lollipop.  The text “©1976, 2014 SANRIO CO., LTD.” appears above Hello Kitty’s face on the whistle, and “Made for McDonald’s China CCW Chine” appears below Hello Kitty’s face on the whistle.  

Consumers should return the whistle to any McDonald’s for a free replacement toy and either a yogurt tube or a bag of apple slices.
