Obituary
LINCOLN-Donald L. Ragland, 74, of Lincoln passed
away at 2:53 p.m. November 12, 2014 at his home
surrounded by his family and his two beloved dogs.
Don was born January 19, 1940, in Sycamore, Illinois
the son of Orval and Leona Freimuth Ragland. He
married Bonnie Fehrmann September 24, 1960 in
Nashville, IL. She preceded him in death February 3,
2008.
Don is survived by two daughters: Crystal (David)
Hickey of Lincoln ; Candace (Steve) Buche of
Lincoln; five grandchildren: Amber, Adam, and Autumn
Hickey, Zachary and Rachel Buche; three great
grandchildren: Gage, Kennedy and Zayden; one
brother: Lester (Connie) Ragland of Lincoln and one
sister: Judi (Marvin) Guthrie of Sandoval, IL.
Don served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. He
worked in manufacturing at Lehn and Fink Products,
Lincoln for thirty years. He was a member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln. |
Services for Don will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday,
November 15, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln with Rev. Candida Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in Atlanta Cemetery, Atlanta, IL
with military rites accorded by the Lincoln American
Legion Post #263. Visitation will be held from 11:00
to 1:00 Saturday prior to the service at the funeral
home. Memorials may be given in memory of Don to
Safe Haven Hospice or Humane Society of Logan
County.
