In the 7th-grade game, the Wolverines (6-0) won behind a great
team effort 44-15.
Kaden Froebe led all scorers with 17 points and dished out four
assists. Also scoring for the Wolverines in the win was; Kameron
Whiteman (10), Draden Pozgai and Payton Anderson (5 each),
Justin Long (4), and Joe Dalpoas with 3.
In the 8th-grade contest, 24 minutes was not enough to decided a
victor, so they played a three-minute overtime period.
In overtime alone, there were seven lead changes and four more
ties, but in the end, the Panthers walked off with a 53-50 win.
Froebe led the Wolverines (3-3) with 22 points. Kade Schmidt led
the Wolverines with 14 rebounds in the loss.
Also scoring for WLB was; Shane Shumard (8), Whiteman and
Anderson (6 each), Blain Robbins (4), Pozgai and Long (2each).
The Wolverines will host the Normal Metcalf Wildcats on Thursday
night. The 7th-grade game tips at 6:00 p.m.
