Taylor already has missed the first 11 games of the season
and will be required to sit out 13 more in a ruling handed down
by NBA commissioner Adam Silver.
In September, Taylor was arrested and charged in East Lansing,
Mich., after an altercation with a woman at a local hotel with
one count of misdemeanor domestic violence assault, one count of
misdemeanor assault on a hotel security officer and one count of
malicious destruction of hotel property.

Jason Collins, the first openly gay athlete in the four major
team sports, announced he will retire from the NBA on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old center wrote columns on SI.com and
ThePlayersTribune.com that he officially will announce his
retirement at the Barclays Center before the Brooklyn Nets host
the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers assigned center Alex Kirk to Canton of
the NBA Development League on Wednesday.
The 7-foot-0, 245-pound Kirk, 23, has appeared in two games for
