[November 26, 2014]  MIDDLETOWN - Ethel Jane Boward, 86, of Middletown died at 1:50 p.m. November 25, 2014 at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mount Pulaski.

 

Visitation: One hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,

Obituary

Ethel Jane Boward, 86, of Middletown died at 1:50 p.m. November 25, 2014 at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mount Pulaski.

Jane was born on August 26, 1928 in Lincoln, IL; daughter of August and Bess Montgomery Busch. She was united in marriage to Charles “Bill” Boward on August 20, 1949 in Middletown, IL; he preceded her in death on August 25, 2008.

Surviving Jane are her two daughters: Cinda (Jeff) Dorgan of Middletown, IL and Becky Kunken of Mt Pulaski, IL; grandchildren: Andrew (Annie) Dorgan, Nathaniel (Sally) Dorgan, and Ryan (Rebecca) Kunken; great grandchildren: Jenna, Hannah, and Colin Dorgan. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother William Busch.

 

Jane was a member of Middletown Methodist Church and the Logan County Retired Teachers Association. She loved reading, needlepoint, word puzzles, and playing cards. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching the Bears and Fighting Illini.

Services for Jane will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 29, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL with Mark Weber officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial at Irish Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be given to Vonderlieth Living Center Activity Fund.
