[November 26, 2014]  MIAMI -- Point guard Stephen Curry scored a season-high 40 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 114-97 victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night at AmericanAirlines Arena.

It was Curry's fourth 30-plus-point game this season. His eight 3-pointers -- out of 11 attempted -- represented a season high. He also had a game-high seven assists and three steals.

The Warriors trailed by 16 points in the second quarter but rallied to win their sixth consecutive game. They are 11-2 overall -- just a half-game behind the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies for the best record in the NBA.

At 6-1, the Warriors tied the Houston Rockets for the best road record in the league.

Guard Klay Thompson added 24 points as the Warriors put together a 14-0 run late in the fourth quarter.

Moved into the starting lineup for the first time this season, Mayo made 5 of 10 shots from the field and accounted for three of Milwaukee's 10 3-pointers. The Bucks shot 43 percent from the field and also got double-digit scoring efforts from rookie forward Jabari Parker (14), forward Ersan Ilyasova (13) and center Larry Sanders, who scored 12 and grabbed five rebounds.

WASHINGTON -- Guard Jeff Teague scored 28 points and a 22-5 fourth quarter run propelled Atlanta.

Reserve forward Mike Scott had 17 points and combined with guard Shelvin Mack for Atlanta's first 16 points in the fourth quarter. The bench pair sparked the final-period push as Atlanta (7-5) turned a tight game into a 92-78 lead with 4:03 remaining. All but five points in that stretch were scored by Scott or Mack, who had a season-high 13 points.
