Oct 2 (The Sports Xchange) - The
Ottawa Senators made a long-term commitment to Bobby Ryan on Thursday,
signing the right winger to a seven-year, $50.75 million contract
extension.

Ryan, who was traded by the Anaheim Ducks to the Senators in July
2013, delivered 23 goals and 48 points in 70 games for Ottawa in his
first season. The Senators also named defenseman Erik Karlsson as
their captain.

The Minnesota Wild are bringing back Nate Prosser, claiming the
defenseman off waivers from the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.
Prosser left Minnesota for the Blues during the offseason after
playing in 53 games for the Wild last season and contributing eight
points and 58 penalty minutes.

The Arizona Coyotes will send top prospect Max Domi back to his
junior team in London, Ontario, according to multiple reports on
Thursday.
The 19-year-old Domi was the Coyotes' first-round pick and 13th
overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He has been a force in the
Ontario Hockey League the past two seasons, scoring 180 points in
125 regular-season games.

The Dallas Stars ended a contract stalemate with restricted free
agent defenseman Brenden Dillon on Thursday when they reached a deal
on a one-year, $1.25 million contract.
Dillon has missed all of training camp and the Stars' six preseason
games while holding out in the contract dispute. (Editing by Frank
