| Both Eureka College (EC) and Lincoln Christian University
have struggled on the soccer pitch this fall. Between the two
schools and four teams, there were fewer than five wins going
into the two Wednesday afternoon match ups that brought both
men's and women's programs to LCU's Red Lions field. The LCU
men's soccer team would find a much needed victory over the
winless EC Red Devils (7-0) in the 2 p.m. game, However, the Red
Lions fell 5-0 to EC in the women's match at 4 p.m.
The biggest highlight of the day came from four goals scored by
LCU captain Mitchel Burgener (JR/Olney, IL) in the men's match.
Also tallying for the Red Lions were Rudy Esqueda (FR/Sarasota,
FL), Parker Radecki (JR/Greenwood, IN), and Brady Thomas (FR/Mt.
				Pulaski, IL).

The women's match was expected to be a tough fight as both
programs have struggled to score this season. Despite a strong
performance from LCU keeper Katie Stuva (FR/Springfield, IL)
with 13 saves, Eureka found their groove in front of the goal as
five shots stretched the net just outside of Stuva's reach.

LCU soccer teams will host another pair of games this Saturday
with the women starting at 11 a.m. against Manhattan Christian
College. The men will host Faith Baptist Bible College in the
				second game at 1 p.m.
