Lincoln used a balanced offensive attack and aggressive
play on defense to take set one 25-13. Set two appeared to be
going the same direction as the Lady Lynx again put Sandburg on
the defensive and built a 14-6 advantage. CSC eventually woke up
and managed to tie the score at 21-21. Lincoln stopped the rally
with a side out then ran off four more points to win the set
25-21. Set three was close thoughout, but a late charge by
Lincoln sealed the match win with a 25-20 victory. LC improved
to 11-8 on the year.

LC Head Coach Mark Tippett: For the first half of this match we
played pretty much error free and showed we are capable of
dominating a quality opponent. It is difficult to keep that
level of play up for an entire match though, and we let CSC slip
back into it. When we needed to make plays late in sets two and
three our players came through. The front row did a fantastic
job of blocking and our passing was very strong tonight which
makes running the offense much easier. I was also pleased with
the balance we showed on offense. Overall it was a great team
effort and a lot of fun to watch.
LC travels to Sauk Valley Community College on Saturday to
participate in a triangular set of matches.
