			Friday, October 10, 2014, at St. Johns Hospice in Springfield. |

							James W. “Jim” Logan, 89, passed away at 9:30 p.m. 
							on Friday, October 10, 2014, at St. Johns Hospice in 
							Springfield.
 Jim was born on January 18, 1925 at Pana, son of 
							Leonard and Elsie Weddle Logan. He was united in 
							marriage to Sarah Mapes in Yuma, AR. She survives 
							him in Mount Pulaski. Other survivors include his 
							children: Deborah Logan of Springfield; James 
							“Scott” Logan of Mount Pulaski; Sue Logan-Cisco of 
							Mount Pulaski; grandsons: Brandon (Kate) Tierney; 
							Bruce Tierney; great grandson: Oliver Tierney; and 
							sister-in-law: Jennie “Boots” Wilham; and several 
							nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate 
							family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 
							brothers and a baby sister.
 
 Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 
							30 years during WWII, the Korean War, and during 
							Vietnam. Jim owned and operated George’s Lawn 
							Equipment in San Diego; he worked for Keith Wilham, 
							and finally he worked for Haco in Atlanta in 
							maintenance. Jim was a lifetime member of the Mount 
							Pulaski American Legion Post #447 and the Mount 
							Pulaski VFW Post #777. Above all else, James loved 
							his family and he will be sorely missed by anyone 
							who was fortunate enough to have known him.

							Services for Jim will be held 10:00 a.m. on 
							Wednesday October 15, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert 
							Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski with Mark 
							Weber officiating. A visitation will take place from 
							4-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at the 
							funeral home. Burial will be at Steenbergen Cemetery 
							in Mount Pulaski, Military rights will be accorded 
							by American Legion post #447. Memorial donation can 
							be made in James’ name to the Mount Pulaski VFW post 
							#777 or the Mount Pulaski American Legion post #447.
