Obituary
Walter H. Lehner, 97, of Lincoln passed away on
Friday, October 17, 2014 at his home.
A private family services will be held at the New
Union Cemetery gravesite. No visitation will be
held.
Mr. Lehner was a veteran of World War II serving in
the United States Navy. Military Rites will be
accorded by American Legion Post #263.
Mr. Lehner was born on April 14, 1917 in Lincoln the
son of Frank and Catherine Lehner.
He married Louise Redfairn on September 7, 1935.
Louise preceded him in death in December, 2004. Also
preceding him in death were his parents and several
brothers and sisters.
He is survived by one daughter: Myra L. Kelley of
Lincoln, one son: Walter (Joyce) H. Lehner Jr., of
Sun City West, Az., One sister: Irene Norton of
Clifton, Il., Two grandson: Jack J. (Tracy) Hurley
Jr., of Springfield, and David M. (Crystal) Hurley
Sr., of Lincoln, and great grandchildren: Alexis
Hurley, David M. Hurley Jr., Thomas Hurley.

For many years Mr. Lehner owned and operated Lehner
Greenhouse and Florist along with his daughter Myra
Kelley. He retired from the Logan Correctional
Center as a Stationary Fireman.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in
Lincoln.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
