LINCOLN - 4-H is looking for willing
volunteers to lead mini breakout sessions at our upcoming officer
training, “Building a Better Tomorrow” on Saturday, November 8th,
from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Logan County Extension Office, 980 N.
			Postville Dr., Lincoln. |

            | Why do we have officer training?
To teach officers their specific officer responsibilities.
To reinforce concepts for members who have been officers
				previously.
To build teamwork and trust in the club officer team, which
leads to a more effective and successful year.
To demonstrate a successful club meeting.
To give officers a chance to learn from each other through
asking questions and discussing the characteristics of their
				club’s meetings, activities and members.
To allow members to get to know 4-H’ers from across the
				county.

If you are willing to volunteer, responsibilities would
include leading a mini breakout session for one of the officer
groups, for example president, vice president, secretary,
treasurer or recreation. If you have a preference as to what
officer group you would like to work with please specify when
you reply. 4-H staff would provide the activities/curriculum
that you would be doing. Officer teams be comprised of 12 youth
maximum per group. The session would last 25 minutes and would
				go from 10:00-10:30a.m.

This is an amazing opportunity to build youth leadership,
impact a youth with a positive youth/adult relationship and help
them to build a better 4-H community club experience! If you
have that date & time available and are willing to assist (we
think you’d be great), please let me know by Friday, October
31st so that we can move forward with our plans for “Building a
				Better Tomorrow” 4-H Officer Training.
