Lytchakov of Chatham-Glenwood in three matches. Final

from Roselle, Gina Odisho. Bere took that match and moved
on to the finals in consolation. Her final opponent was Haley
Wilcox of Tinley Park. Bere took the first set with a
score of 6-3. In the second set, she was off to a hardy
lead at 5-2 When Wilcox found her game and brought the set to a
tie, then went on to defeat Bere. Coach Njeri Bere stated,
"This has been a great learning experience and we are very
grateful to Lincoln Community High School that paid for us to
come to State and remain in Chicago until Saturday so that we
can watch all the matches taking place. "We are very thankful
to all family and friends who have supported us along the way.
Special thanks to teammate Melissa Van who came with us to
Chicago and has given great support (and comic relief) to Kena
at every match. "With God's help we hope to continue playing
so that we improve and return to State next year."
