Semple was born and raised in Lincoln and is a graduate of St.
John’s School of Respiratory Therapy. For over 35 years, Becky has
lived on a rural farm in Hartsburg.
Semple began working at ALMH in 1977 and continued until 2006 when
she began conducting sleep studies at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield, Illinois. She quickly returned to ALMH and Logan County
when a full time position opened up at ALMH to conduct sleep studies
at the Lincoln hospital.
Untreated sleep disorders can increase risk of heart disease, high
blood pressure, stroke and other medical conditions. Sleep studies
conducted at ALMH record valuable data needed to diagnose sleep
disorders. They are conducted in a comfortable, private room with a
double bed and performed by specially-trained staff, like Semple, to
help identify the different sleep stages and categorize sleep
problems.
Semple is proud to work at ALMH because it is full of knowledge and
experience. And because patients come first.

the job is, everyone is concerned about the comfort and safety
of our patients, and go out of the way to be helpful. Our
