As of 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, no injuries or arrests had been
reported at the Woodland Hills Youth Development Center in Nashville
and all of the teens were contained within the police perimeter, the
Tennessee Department of Children's Services said.
Additional staff were on duty and social workers were talking to the
youth to try to convince them to return to their rooms, the
department said. A police helicopter was circling overhead.
"It's still kind of fluid right now," department spokesman Rob
Johnson said, declining to provide additional details.
A group of 32 boys escaped from the facility on Monday. Most were
either apprehended by police or turned themselves in, but six boys
remained at large as of Thursday morning.
