Obituary
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday,
September 4, 2014 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral
Home. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on
Thursday also at the funeral home with Henry Johnson
officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded and
burial will be at a later date in New Union
Cemetery, Lincoln.
Paul was born July 5, 1930 in Lincoln, the son of
August Carl and Ida (Gaddis) Trommer. He married
Linda Hart on June 26, 1971 in Cobden.
Mr. Trommer worked in sales for many years. He
attended Jefferson Street Christian Church. Paul was
an avid reader. He enjoyed the outdoors, technology,
travel, crafts and woodworking, and spending time
with his grandchildren. “He knew a little about
everything and a lot about many things.”
Surviving are his wife Linda Trommer of Lincoln; his
sons Matthew Paul (wife, Corina) Trommer of
Northville, MI. and Ryan Michael (wife, Sarah)
Trommer of West Dundee; his grandchildren: Alexander
and Santiago Trommer of Northville, MI. and John
Edison “Jet” and Izaac Edison “Zac” Trommer of West
Dundee; and his grand dog Miles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his
siblings: Harold Trommer, Arthur Trommer, Sue Lewis,
Dorothy Moross, Leona Trommer, Carl Trommer, August
Trommer, Bertha Trommer, and Caroline Trommer.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to
the American Diabetes Association, The American
Heart Association, or to Nuru International
("Building the world’s first self-sustaining,
self-scaling, integrated development model to end
extreme poverty.") and will be accepted at the
funeral home.
