[September 04, 2014]  Sept 3 (The Sports Xchange) - The Los Angeles Clippers signed Ekpe Udoh and wingman Chris Douglas-Roberts to one-year contracts for the veteran's minimum salary.

The 26-year-old Udoh averaged 3.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 42 games, including 14 starts, for the Milwaukee Bucks last season. Roberts, also 26, signed with the Charlotte Bobcats in December. He played in 49 games, including eight starts, for Charlotte and averaged 6.9 points and 2.4 rebounds.

The Dallas Mavericks re-signed center Bernard Jame to an undisclosed contract on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-10 James was drafted by the Mavericks with the 33rd overall pick in 2012. He averages 2.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 7.9 minutes in 76 career games with Dallas. James is a former Staff Sergeant who served six years in the Air Force, including three tours to Iraq, Afghanistan and Qatar.

The Sacramento Kings waived guard Wayne Ellington, who was acquired from the New York Knicks on Aug. 6 along with forward-center Jeremy Tyler and the New York Knicks' 2016 second-round draft pick in exchange for forwards Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw.

Ellington has averaged 6.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 312 career games through his first five NBA seasons. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
