There’s no place like home in Mount Pulaski this weekend

[September 04, 2014]  MOUNT PULASKI - On September 5th and 6th Mount Pulaski celebrates home with its 122nd Fall Festival. Mount Pulaski is celebrating fall like it is the land of the Wizard of Oz.

Plenty of activities, competitions, music and food have been scheduled. As you take in the fun times you will likely find yourself thinking “There’s no place like home!” as in Mount Pulaski this Friday and Saturday.

The opening ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

One of the highlights of the festival are the pageants, Cutest Li’l Farmer, Little Miss Mount Pulaski and Junior Miss Mount Pulaski which takes place Friday night at 6 p.m.

The theme for Saturday’s 1 p.m. parade is The Wizard of Oz -- There’s No Place Like Home.

Entertainment musical groups include X-Crush, Haircut Actual, Tammy Renee Harris and Fireside Relics. Food fundraisers include Friday supper of rib eye sandwiches and Saturday fish fry beginning at 5 p.m.

So, ease on down the road south to Mount Pulaski to take in some or several of the following events scheduled for this Friday and Saturday:
