Thursday morning the local Culver's Restaurant hosted its annual farmer appreciation breakfast. According to owner/manager Elaine Aue, more than 100 Logan County farmers responded to the invitation to enjoy a free buffet breakfast. Culver's in Lincoln hosts the meal annually as a show of appreciation for farmers everywhere, and especially locally whose efforts feed not just a nation, but the world.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO SENIORS
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois
will NOT be preparing meals for the home delivery and congregate nutrition sites on Friday September 5, due to a water main break affecting the kitchen.
CAPCIL anticipates being able to resume the Senior Nutrition services by Monday.
