			Heartland offers community education classes on Lincoln Campus

            LINCOLN - Community Education at 
			Heartland Community College will offer classes on technology, money, 
			art and dance. Two new classes are also being offered on identity 
			theft protection and watercolor painting. Students who sign up for 
			both the computer and iPad class receive a 10% discount on the 
			course fee. |

			 Fees are charged per class and there may be a materials or supply 
			list sent prior to beginning the class. For more information and

			call (217) 735-1731. Classes being offered:
 NEW: Identity Theft 101: An Introduction to an Insidious 
			Crime occurs Monday, September 29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in room 112 on 
			the Lincoln campus. Get an overview of various types of identity 
			theft and ways to protect yourself from becoming a victim. The 
			instructor will also share their personal experience with identity 
			theft.
 
 Getting Started with Computers takes place Friday, October 10 
			from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in room 112 on the Lincoln campus. 
			Learn basic computer skills such as turning it on, using a mouse and 
			other essentials for using a personal computer.
 
			 
			Getting Started with an iPad includes two sessions on Monday, 
			September 8 and Wednesday, September 10 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in room 
			112 on the Lincoln campus. Get your iPad set up beforehand, bring it 
			to class and learn how to maximize its use with features and apps.
			
 Income Taxes Made Easy includes two sessions on Monday, 
			October 6 and Wednesday October 8 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in room 112 on 
			the Lincoln campus. Understand basic tax forms and methods of 
			preparation.

			 Budgeting Made Easy includes two sessions on Monday, 
				October 13 and Wednesday October 15 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in room 
				112 on the Lincoln campus. Learn how to set a monthly budget, 
				track your spending and learn about a variety of programs and 
				technology that help with budgeting. 
 Belly Dance includes six sessions and takes place on 
				Tuesdays from September 16 through October 21 from 7:00-8:00 
				p.m. at the Lincoln College Scott Joslin Fitness Center. Learn 
				the art form of belly dance and explore the culture in a fun and 
				encouraging atmosphere.
 
 NEW: Watercolor Studio includes six sessions and takes 
				place on Wednesdays from September 17 through October 22 at the 
				Adams Art Studio. All skill sets welcome. Receive individualized 
				coaching and learn how to maximize the characteristic of the 
				medium.
