The fourth annual Cruise-In at the Mansion runs from
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s open to the public for a $5 donation, which
goes to the David Davis Mansion Foundation. There is no fee to enter
a vehicle in the show.
In addition to fun and fascinating vintage cars, the event includes
food concessions by St. Mary’s Boy Scout Troop # 20 and ice cream
provided by Schwan’s Quality Foods. The band “Protégé,” sponsored by
Scott and Susan McCoy and Don and Cindy Kopack, will provide music.
The Cruise-in at the Mansion is sponsored by the Car Community
Automobile Club and will feature no judging or trophies – just a day
of enjoyment for vehicle owners and enthusiasts. Dash plaques will
be given to the first 150 participants.
To register a vehicle and reserve a dash plaque, email ccacbi@gmail.com
or call (309) 378-4391. On-site registration opens at 11 a.m. the
day of the event.

The mansion, 1000 E. Monroe in Bloomington, was built in 1872
by David Davis, a justice on the U.S. Supreme Court who had
played a major role in getting Abraham Lincoln elected
president.
Now operated by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, the
mansion is open for public tours Wednesday-Saturday from 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m. The David Davis Mansion Foundation is a not-for-profit
organization supporting education, preservation and acquisition
programs at the site.
