[September 06, 2014]  Sept 4 (The Sports Xchange) - Ten years after Todd Bertuzzi attacked former Colorado Avalanche forward Steve Moore, Moore's civil case officially has been settled.

There had been reports the past few weeks that the sides had agreed on a settlement. On Thursday, Moore released a statement saying the case is closed.

"The legal case for the loss of my NHL career is over. I have accepted a settlement agreement which has now been finalized and signed by all the parties."

The Boston Bruins and forward David Krejci have agreed to a six-year extension through the 2020-21 season. The deal is worth $43.5 million.

He has one year left on his current three-year, $15.75 million deal.
 


Krejci led the Bruins in scoring in the 2013-14 campaign with 69 points, posting 19 goals and 50 assists. He accrued an NHL best plus 39-rating.

The Colorado Avalanche announced the signing of defenseman Tyson Barrie to a two-year contract through the 2015-16 season.

Barrie, 23, led all Colorado defensemen with 13 goals this past season, the most by an Avs blueliner since 2006-07 when John-Michael Liles posted 14 goals.

First-round draft pick Robby Fabbri, selected 21st overall, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues.

Fabbri, dressed in 58 regular-season games with the Ontario Hockey League's Guelph Storm last season. The 18-year-old forward ranked second on the team with 87 points, including 45 goals and 42 assists. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
