Obituary
Ernest Richard Edwards, 78, of
Mt. Pulaski, passed away at 4:30 P.M. Sunday
September, 7, 2014 at his home.
Richard was born on September
3, 1936 in Mt. Pulaski, IL to Ernest R. and Minnie
Edwards. He married Phyllis Ragsdale on June 6,
1959 in Metropolis, IL. He worked for Caterpillar
as an adjuster in Decatur for 36 years. He served
in the National Guard and for the last several years
loved running Edwards Produce where he grew
tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and green peppers.
Surviving is his wife Phyllis
of 55 years, son Jeff (Amy) Edwards of Ballwin, MO,
son-in-law, Jeff Davis of Ballwin, MO, five
grandchildren, Olivia, Cole, Jackson, Sinclaire and
Lane, two sisters, Ruth Barry of Mt. Pulaski and
Mary Harrison of Decatur. He was preceded in death
by his parents, daughter Sydney Davis, brother Earl
Edwards and an infant sister. |
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday September 12,
2014 at the First Christian Church in Mt. Pulaski
with Mark Weber officiating. Visitation will be

Pulaski. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery.
